I’m privileged to be able to write the lyrics for The TRiBE and honored to make music with these five great friends of mine. In addition to music, I’ve done a lot of other writing for a long time, but a big goal of mine was to to write a fantasy/fiction novel. I’d been working on ideas for a few years when I’d met the TRiBE; as time went on I was inspired by their unique personalities which have helped me in creating this new world and story. Ultimately, I’d like to be able to use The TRiBE as the platform for this chunk of my writing. After a certain point I needed some images to help get my ideas in order, and thanks to the amazing Midjourney AI project and some heavy photoshopping, I was able to get pretty close to what is in my head. I am greatly looking forward to offering prints and NFTs of the art that I and some other folks are working on that depicts some of the locations and characters within this story (which I’ll leave nameless for now). With that said, we’ll be releasing those along with Chapter 1 as part of our Thanksgiving Eve show at the River St. Jazz Cafe, with the intent of rolling out subsequent chapters intermittently. In simple terms, the idea of The TRiBE has always been bigger than just jamming phat tunes — for all of us. As such it means a lot to me that this can in some way be a tiny, tiny part of whatever it is we’re doing. Honored to work with these guys and make music for all of you who have been willing to listen. I hope you’ll be willing to supplement the rnb/hip hop jams with some ultra nerd high fantasy when the opportunity arrives. Jordan
